We all know that when the hot months approach, the risk of our workers experiencing a heat related illness is high.  What are we doing to educate ourselves and our employees to the risk factors, preventative methods, and treatment for these preventable injuries.  Telling our employees to just drink water will fail every time.  Knowing how many days you need to acclimatize a worker to the heat, when to supplement electrolytes with water, and the early signs of an impending illness will help reduce the risk of a heat related injury.  In collaboration with OSHA staff, this presentation will shed light on what you can do to assure your workforce has the knowledge and tools to decrease the risk and to offer long term solutions for these events.
