Evaluating the Impact of Drone Propwash on Air Quality Monitoring in Plume Environments

Phil Baker & Jonathan Barket, CTEH

Room: Floral A2

This pioneering study explores the effect of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) – drone – propwash on drone-mounted air quality measuring equipment, specifically in the context of plume monitoring from burning crude oil.    This session will cover key findings of this research.  This advancement opens new possibilities for more effective and reliable airborne environmental monitoring, especially in emergency response scenarios involving hazardous emissions.
