Management of Change: Perhaps the most Challenging Aspect of Process Safety

David Drerup, Operational Sustainability

Management of Change (MOC), when implemented properly, can both minimize the effects of risks and encourage sound organizational decision-making, which enhances production and the bottom line. In this presentation, we’ll delve into why MOC continues to be challenge even the most progressive organizations, along with how companies can seek to advance their MOC program to get beyond the basics required by compliance (i.e., equipment and procedure changes) to derive more business value and not use it solely as a compliance tool.  Finally, we will try to make the case for how MOC can lead to a more reliable, and profitable organization while being integrated into maintenance and operations.
